Start your excursion in Vrbnik, the cradle of Glagolitic tradition and good wine, the place which should definitely be visited if you are staying on Krk. Then visit five small secluded churches, each specific in its own way.
The first one can be found on the hill at the exit of the village. These are the remains of the Church of St Mavro. Then head towards Risika, where you can see the Church of St Marco on the headland along the sea. There are two ruinous, but very significant and beautiful churches still awaiting restoration. Proceed towards Dobrinj and stop at the village St Vitus to take a look at the church of the same name. This is a small Romanesque jewel on the glade above the road built in the far 1100. The following destination takes you towards Soline with the Church of St Philip and Jacob, a little younger than the previous one, also situated on the glade in the forest. You should rest here and prepare for the last stop of this excursion. Visit the small village Klimno and the Church of St Clementus, which contains a beautiful wooden Renaissance altar protected as the national cultural good.
